An article worth reading even from the point of view of general health. I don't follow Alzheimer's closely, but as the article points out it affects 5.4 Americans - including 1 in 8 over age 65. What I've read tells me environmental toxic substances are also an important component in Alzheimer's. Address Dr Perlmutter's concerns and the issue of environmental toxins now - and improve your chances for a healthy old age ! By the way, the same things that help prevent Alzheimer's also help alleviate EFFECTS of many illnesses. The measures Dr Perlmutter suggests have also been suggested elsewhere for a variety of medical, neurological and psychiatric conditions - including allergies, asthma, autism, ADD and ADHD.
